Hanoi Tower

It promotes understanding of recursive functions.

Invented by French mathematician Edouard Lucas in in 1883, the Hanoi tower is a mathematical puzzle of three pegs and six discs. Shifting one disc at a time the discs need to be moved to another peg in the same order of decreasing size. Well known to the students of computer science, it promotes understanding of recursive functions.
